Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information FreeReferralCodes collects, how it is used, and which parts of your information are visible to the public.
Account information
When you create an account we store the information needed to sign you in and identify your account, such as your email address and authentication details. If you sign in with Google, we receive the basic account information Google provides for sign-in.
Public profile information
Your profile is public. Information you add to it is visible to anyone, including visitors who are not signed in, and may be indexed by search engines.
Publicly visible
- Username and display name
- Profile picture, bio and any profile customisation you set
- Links you choose to add to your profile
- Referral programs, referral codes and referral links you publish
- Titles and descriptions you write for your codes
- Your followers and the accounts you follow, and their counts
- Aggregate statistics such as click counts shown on profiles and leaderboards
Not public
- Your email address and sign-in credentials
- Your private dashboard views and account settings
- Notifications sent to you
Referral codes and referral links
Referral codes and links you submit are stored so they can be displayed on your profile, on program pages and in the directory. Do not submit anything in these fields that you do not want to be public.
Click tracking
When someone clicks a referral link on the site, we record the click so that the owner of the code can see how many clicks it received. This is used for the click counts and statistics shown in the product, and for leaderboards.
Followers and following
Following another member creates a public relationship between the two profiles, shown on the follower and following pages of both profiles, and may trigger a notification to the person you followed.
Authentication, cookies and session data
We store the session data required to keep you signed in, in your browser and in our authentication system. Without it, signing in would not work. Signing out ends the session.
Technical information and logging
Our servers and infrastructure providers process the technical information involved in serving a website — such as requests to pages and error logs — to operate the service, keep it secure and diagnose problems.
How information is used
- To operate your account, profile and referral codes
- To display public profiles, programs, directories and leaderboards
- To show you statistics about your own codes
- To send account and activity notifications, including by email where applicable
- To moderate content and respond to reports
- To fix problems and improve the service
Third-party services
We use third-party services only where they are required to run the site: hosting and database/authentication infrastructure, Google sign-in if you choose it, email delivery for account and notification emails, and payment links for paid plans where you choose to purchase one. When you click a referral link you leave FreeReferralCodes and the destination website's own practices apply.
Deleting your data
You can edit or delete the codes and profile information you have published at any time from your dashboard and settings. For account-related or deletion requests, write to jcroskilde@gmail.com.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page. Questions about privacy can be sent to jcroskilde@gmail.com or via the contact page. See also our Terms of Service.
